The Calgary Zoo is home to more than 1000 animals and 275 species.  Our animal collection is always changing.  Many animals are endangered and are part of the Species Survival Plan--a co-operative population management program focused on maintaining healthy and genetically diverse captive populations.

While you stroll along a peaceful pathway, winding your way through serene woodlands, you suddenly realize that as you are observing nature, nature is observing you.
