Deco is conveniently located at 5518 Spring Garden Road, in very heart of Halifax’s premier shopping district, and just a hop, skip and a jump away from Halifax's historic waterfront and business district. Tucked unobtrusively into the streetscape, Deco is just what its name implies: an homage to the Art Deco era. Prominent Nova Scotia restaurateurs Philip & Cathy Levangie have created a beautiful dining room reminiscent of Paris in the 1920s. Philip designed and built the restaurant — often using recycled building materials from the period — to create an authentic art-deco atmosphere, at once both sophisticated and sassy.

The food is fabulous. Deco is a moderately-priced upscale bistro offering innovative and succulent cuisine, as our menus illustrate. We use only the freshest ingredients, and we change our menu frequently, to make the best use of Nova Scotia's natural abundance. Friendly, efficient servers and a diverse wine list complete the package, and so we're both confident and bold: Deco is one of Nova Scotia's best restaurants. But just don't take our word for it.
