TUESDAY

In Vancouver, there is one home for independent music. The Roxy hosts the next big thing in music every Tuesday night doors open at 7:00 first band on at 8:00. Cover is $7.00 with a ticket and $10.00 without a ticket. Canadian Content is not about garage bands getting their shot at making noise. It’s about serious players showcasing their craft in front of managers, agents, record executives and critics. The Roxy is proud to have had a hand in launching the careers of some of Vancouver’s most promising talent. Canadian Content, which is co-sponsored by C-Fox on the last Tuesday of every month, is hosted by the effervescent Todd Hancock, who also gives away prizes following the show with his rapid fire Can-Con trivia. Following Canadian Content, which wraps up at 10:00, The Bulge takes the stage to please their audience with a high energy, fun and interactive performance that doesn’t stop till closing time.

(OK… I admit it… That one stunk.) And so forth…The party at the Roxy starts a 7pm and never ends, but we do have to kick you out at 3am so we can clean up and head over to Country Night in time for their party.
