After an $18 million renovation, Hyatt Regency Vancouver reopened in March 2002. The new design symbolizes all that we cherish in this region and re-establishes Hyatt as the foremost of Vancouver hotels. The West Coast look figures prominently throughout the hotel, paying homage to the unique atmosphere of Vancouver. Renovations included the main entrance, lobby, public areas and all meeting rooms. Additional meeting space was added for a total of 45,000 sq. ft. on four separate floors. The restaurant and bar were completely redone and a new bistro was added in the lobby. Guestrooms were upgraded in 1999 and are the largest in the city.
