The layout and design of Modavie can be attributed to the collective work of its proprietors. The goal was to maintain the Old Montreal cachet of the exposed stone and brick walls, while adding the comfort and warmth of intricate woodwork. All the elements of the décor, including the walls of shelves stacked with bottles of wine, paintings by Louis Robichaud and other Quebec artists, dry flower arrangements and candle flames flickering in the breeze through the magnificent open windows, blend in together to create an atmosphere deserving of the Frommer's 2002 - Montreal and Québec City designation as the Best Decor for a Montreal restaurant.

Our objective in setting up Modavie's Wine Bar is to offer a warm and inviting setting to enjoy a wonderful wine or your favorite drink. Our guests can choose from a vast array of wines by the glass, cognac, scotch, eau-de-vie and port with the assistance of our attentive and knowledgeable staff. You can savor your drink in a relaxed atmosphere while waiting for a table or simply enjoy it with your favorite appetizer or selection of fine cheeses. Do not miss our Happy Hour every week, Monday through Friday, from 4 to 7 PM. We can also reserve a special area for your company group for a special Happy Hour.
